Dentsply Sirona at the IDS 2019: Everything for the success of dental practice and lab
Further improving treatment workflows, making optimal use of digital technologies and ensuring practice success both today and in the future: It is the exchanges on these topics that drive forward innovation at Dentsply Sirona. The company will be presenting its very latest developments at the IDS 2019. Live demonstrations, hands-on tutorials and extensive opportunities to engage in technical discussions will all be offered at the trade fair booths. There is also plenty to discover for orthodontists, endodontists and dental professionals working with implant treatment.

Bensheim/Salzburg. Visitors to the IDS 2019 can look forward to an imaginative and exciting program from Dentsply Sirona. Numerous product presentations, hands-on courses and an "innovation corner" all provide a platform for in-depth exchanges. "Our products are innovative thanks to our customers," explained Don Casey, CEO at Dentsply Sirona. "Our ideas are often inspired by conversations with them." The booth is a great place to honor this cooperation and the Dentsply Sirona photo booth provides an ideal meeting point. Visitors can pose for their personalized cover of the trenDS magazine from Dentsply Sirona. What's more, it makes good sense to flick through this magazine as it features the four new design trends from Dentsply Sirona for practice equipment in 2019/2020.
Those who want to get an in-depth look at the specialist issues can take part in hands-on tutorials. Three courses on integrated endodontics, integrated implant dentistry and intraoral X-ray positioning will be offered; to this end a seminar room equipped with modern technology will be available at the booth. Participants may receive two training points for each tutorial they attend – allowing them to combine the tradeshow visit with training in the best possible way. Registration will be open starting from February 4, 2019 on the website www.dentsplysirona.com/ids-tutorials.
The CEREC live demonstrations directly at the booth are now almost a tradition. These give trade fair visitors the chance to experience the proven CAD/CAM system first-hand and also discover the latest workflow developments. Nearly 20 live treatments on patients will be shown on two stages every day during the entire trade fair. They will illustrate just how versatile CEREC is and how different materials are suitable for various indications. Moreover, dentists and dental technicians will be demonstrating innovative workflows from endodontics, orthodontics, implantology and imaging systems.
Dentsply Sirona will be presenting its entire product portfolio in halls 10.2 and 11.2. Experts will be on hand to provide comprehensive advice to all interested parties. "We are well aware that our strength lies in combining innovative products with intelligent workflows without compromising flexibility for dental professionals," stressed Don Casey. "We refuse to rest on our laurels – in fact, the opposite is true as we continue to aim higher. It is often the details that have a big impact."
New technologies for first-class treatments
Acuris, the new innovation in implant dentistry that Dentsply Sirona will be presenting at the IDS 2019, is a major breakthrough. Acuris is based on a conometric concept that uses friction instead of a screw or cement to secure the crown and the cap to the abutment in the final prosthetic part of the implant treatment. It represents the best of two worlds: a retention that is removable for the dentist but fixed for the patient. It will be available for all three implant systems from Dentsply Sirona in time for the IDS.
Within the complete TruNatomy range of products, the flexible 3-file sequence slim design (MFD 0.8) combined with an off-centered cross section for better debris removal offers more efficiency than previous files at a higher speed. It enables practitioners to work safely whilst preserving as much of the original tooth structure as possible. Complemented by corresponding obturation and a flexible irrigation needle that ensures appropriate disinfection, the TruNatomy system helps improve endodontic treatments and creates genuine added value for dentists and patients.
Additional benefits for both parties will also be presented at the IDS in the field of orthodontics with the further development of In-Ovation. In-Ovation X is the latest generation of self-ligating brackets, which have been further improved in terms of functionality, user-friendliness and design. In-Ovation X combines the necessary clinical performance with the wearing comfort that patients expect today. The highlight is the unprecedented voice of customer research around the world that drove relevant innovation.
Three user groups, namely dentists, dental hygienists and prophylaxis assistants, all benefit from a new tool: The Purevac HVE System with Mirror Tips and Hose Adapter. Purevac HVE is a high-volume aspirator with a dental mirror, combined in a single instrument which creates greater efficiency. The tool can remove 90% more aerosols during procedures such as ultrasonic scaling, compared to a low-volume saliva ejector.1 And, the mirror tip is at-hand, ready to use whenever needed. One of Dentsply Sirona’s fundamental goals is to help protect dental professionals and patients from harmful infections in the dental practice. The Dentsply Sirona Purevac HVE System is a large step towards that goal.
In the words of Don Casey, a visit to the Dentsply Sirona booths at IDS is a valuable use of time. "And who knows, perhaps the discussions had here will give rise to the next innovations from Dentsply Sirona."
Interested dentists and dental technicians are cordially invited to experience these and many more of Dentsply Sirona’s new products and technologies and to try them out themselves with expert support at the IDS from March 12 to 16, 2019.
